Annual Meeting Minutes - May 11, 2010

7:00 pm
· President John Newton opened meeting.
· Parks & Recreation Commission representative, Victor Cowan reported on past County meetings. Discussion of shortening football season was on topic.
· Doug Fox as well as other Directors and Members thanked the outgoing President, Secretary and Treasurer for their faithful commitment to the program.
· Denise Vance gave the Treasurer’s Report and copies were distributed. Account has approx. $2,000. Monies are still owed to Ken Barrier and the City for water – approx. $1,500 owed.
· Football Coordinators meeting with the County was announced for May 13 at 5:30 pm.
· Doug Fox reported he had a quote for $2,100 for the Press Box remodel. No decision made on start date or approval.
· Present Members paid their $5 annual fee making them eligible for vote.
· New Officers elected:
Rick Gardin – President
Stephen Smith – Vice President
Chip Fisher – Secretary
Jack Perry – Treasurer
· New Directors elected:
Jamey Bivens
Byron Boyd
Donnie McGee
Victor Cowan
· Existing Directors not up for election remained:
Doug Fox
· New Recording Secretary elected:
Dina Boyd (non-voting position)
· Fundraising Committee to meet soon as funds are needed.
· Victor Cowan suggested each person in attendance submit addresses for 10 people to Dina Boyd to generate letters to the community asking for donations to the Club. The Bulldog Club and paid scrimmage games were mentioned as well.
· Chip Fisher reported he will visit Walmart and or Ingles to ask for donation of new score board.
· Stephen Smith suggested the possibility of buying our own refrigerators and drinks to generate more money. Refrigerators were said to be very expensive but may be something to investigate.
· Stephanie Smith was asked to schedule volunteers for the concession stand for the next few weeks until we formulate new procedures and policies.
· Chip Fisher reported that Freedom High School has a mower in need of repair that we might be able to purchase for the Club.
· Byron Boyd suggested he and Jack Perry get together to get a merchant account set up to enable us to sell gear through our website.
· Concession Coordinator(s) were suggested by Victor Cowan. More discussion needed.
· Chip Fisher reported he spoke to the City about the excessive water bill and they are to report back to us.
· Next meeting was scheduled for Sunday, May 16 at 6 pm at Victor Cowan’s residence.
· Meeting adjourned at 9pm.
